I AM 49 AND ENJOY ALL OF THE HARRY POTTER BOOKS. I HAVE THE JIM DALE CD'S AND RELISTEN TO ALL OF THE BOOKS OVER AND OVER WHILE I DRIVE (AND I DRIVE ALOT) I HAVE READ ALOT OF GARBAGE IN MY LIFE AND SINCE I HAVE READ J.K. ROWLINGS BOOKS EVERY OTHER WRITER PALES IN COMPARISON. THIS IS DEFINATELY NOT A CHILDRENS BOOK AND SHOULD BE GIVEN THE RECOGNITION THAT THE SERIES DESERVES (YES BOOK 7 WAS THE BEST) EVERY BOOK SHE WROTE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE BEST SELLERS LIST. The point of the "Best Seller' list is for the best sellers. and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is one of the best sellers!! So it deserves to be on the list!! Submitted by reysa c. on Mon, 08/18/2008 - 06:45

harry potter books have helped the next generation of kids like to read again. they deserve to be on the list as much as the others. yeah, those books are so good and ive always stuck by harry potter! Submitted by Ona T. on Thu, 05/29/2008 - 15:36
Every book in the Harry Potter Series should be allowed on the NYT Best Seller List. If they were they would still be on it - taking quite a few of the top spots. These books are so popular, they'll remain a world classic. Submitted by Sarah B. on Sat, 03/29/2008 - 23:27
i admit i was PUMPED for deathly hallows, and after i read it semi-dissapointed...after reading it a second time though, i like it alot better, i appreciate detail and JK certaintly deleivered! i was just more lengthy than it needed to be i think, but it did the series a just ending, and im glad i found harry back in 7th grade, i dont know what i would do without him...it deserves a best seller spot, no doubt! That list is bull. I have never read a series like this nor will I ever again. I agree with the statement above. THIS BOOK RULES!! I BOUGHT IT AND DIDNT PUT IT DOWN FOR TWO WHOLE DAYS! IT WAS JUST THAT GOOD!! Submitted by marc B. on Tue, 01/08/2008 - 05:01
There alway's needs to be an exception to the rule. Harry Potter was just so stinkin popular that it would have kept books from reaching the top of the NY Times list. Submitted by Robert J. on Sun, 12/09/2007 - 22:09

If the best sellers list can't honor this book, why should they honor any books? If a group of people can't honor everybody ( best sellers list, award shows, music charts) they shouldn't have it. All the Harry potter Books should be on that list !! They are great and somewhat inspireing stories. Submitted by mha A. on Wed, 10/24/2007 - 20:06

Maybe they dont like the fiction type story..Actually guys, It's not important that HARRY POTTER will not be the best seller what important is we enjoy watching, reading and idolizing HARRY POTTER!! I do hope that, all the characters of HARRY POTTER will really serve as MODEL to young people or as well as old people or to all people who idolizes HARRY POTTER so much...keep up the good work!!1You've done a great movie...hehehe...I SALUTE all of the staffs and the people who make the movie successful... They should not discriminate on the Harry Potter books. Even if it is a kids book many adults read it and all and all its still a book. The stats show that its one of the best selling series there must be some jealous people out there or something. Submitted by mindi h. on Mon, 09/24/2007 - 21:10
this is so unfair! harry potter is the best best seller of all! Submitted by Bennie J. on Thu, 09/20/2007 - 21:34
Overwhelming the best seller of all times. A icon that should be preserved! Submitted by Erving d. on Mon, 09/17/2007 - 11:39
It would be a slap in NY Times' face if ever they deny the power and magic of Harry Potter... and now they wouldn't let the Wizarding world be the part of the glory? Shane in them!!! Eventhough I couldn't say for all of the Muggles how Harry and his own people touched our lives, it's a disgrace to not acknowledge J. K. Rowling's books, especially when almost all of the book clubs around the world anows How Harry sweep and ruled the seas.May the leacy of him be forever!!! Harry Potter readers made the books bestsellers. The New York Times has proved once again that they have no understanding of what the public wants, but J.K. Rowling does. Submitted by Anna W. on Sat, 08/11/2007 - 18:52
Harry Potter got people to read again and actually enjoy doing it! Plus the fact that it is one of the best selling books in the world. Both of those reasons should garauntee it be on the top of the bestseller list. But what would a bunch of stuffy New York Times journalists know? I bet they only read newspapers and phone books looking for their next "big story" stupid jerks. Submitted by Karina E. on Fri, 08/10/2007 - 20:30
I THINK A BOOK IT´S A BOOK... THE HARRY POTTER TALES ARE AND AMAZING PHENOMENON... THE STORY WAS SELLING JUST BEFORE WE CAN FIND THE BOOKS ON THE STORES... DON´T BE SUCH A.... GIVE A PLACE ON THE LIST... NOT JUST KIDS ARE READING THOSE BOOKS... COME ON.. FACE IT!! Submitted by zhang s. on Thu, 08/02/2007 - 14:56
