I couldn't agree more with the 10 seasons! If any of you want to try to save SGA, I started a campaign to save SGA. It's the penny postcard campaign -- at least that is the first part of what we need to do to try to save SGA. We plan to contact the media, possibly advertisers, SGA creators, maybe Sci-fi and hopefully other networks that might be interested in picking up SGA. But we need your help for this to work!!! So they want to cancel SGA. The only show that had me working hard to get the satellite guy at my new house on closing day so I could watch SGA that night. Otherwise I could of waited, who knows, forever. All these channels all these shows and I only like SGA and a few others but SGA is the only reason I pay for TV. So I say keep SGA going. SciFi uses the live+sd for their ratings. So a show aired at 9 or 10 pm must be watched by 3am in order to count. Live+7d would be a much more accurate account of the number of people watching a given show. And what about the downloads from the internet. That has to account for something. Sounds to me like only planning for a 5 season show doesn't show any confidence in the show or the actors. If this is the case, then when a show has some promise they should right away pick up on another 5 seasons and see where it is leading then. If a great show is going to get canceled for another show that ends up being just plain CRAP - then the CRAP SHOW SHOULD BE B O Y C O T T E D!!! IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!! By now you know Atlantis has been canceled. I am outraged! Deja-vu anyone? The rating system is way off since it cannot account for DVR recording and Tivo. Stations unfortunately only sign a show for 5 seasons. If it is real popular, it doesn't matter and the fans get screwed anyway. SG1 was on for 10 years because the first 5 were on Showtime and the last on SciFi. Instead of keeping a popular show, stations waste more money on newer, stupid shows to try to get more viewers.
