Combat Global Violence against WomenForum Discussion for Combat Global Violence against Women Submitted by christina c. on Sat, 10/11/2008 - 04:56
All women have the basic human right to self-determination without interference or intimidation. Violence whether its a Religious rite, or takes the physical form is wrong it should be elevated to a crime against humanity, and the European Court of Justice should step in regardless of who's shoes we stand on. A crime is a crime regardless. Submitted by Keefe F. on Mon, 07/28/2008 - 08:10
I feel that no women should be abuse in any form or manner, it is a crime which the abuser no matter what country they are from needs to be punished. Their need to be strong international laws against abusers no matter what country they are from. Submitted by Diane T. on Thu, 05/29/2008 - 14:56
I believe in your petition and am willing to sign. Why would we choose to turn a blind eye to the HORRIFYING reality that affects 1 out of EVERY 3 WOMEN IN THE WORLD, at some point in their lives?!?! What does that say about the frivilous society that we live in when fictional characters steal away more of our concern and passion than the violation of women's and GIRL's HUMAN RIGHTS which happen on A DAILY BASIS! violence against women is the worst crime ever...we have seen U.S soldiers rape iragi women in their own homes...we have seen amoral men raping women during Hurricane katrina even in their refugee camps...we have seen men abusing their own wives in india, the harsh laws against women in the gulf countries...and this must stop...if there is any ounce of humanity left in the youth today we must support this cause and make the world a safer place for women who are the backbone of every society!!!!! I agree with you 100%,I was raped by a relative, when I was 31 he got away with it, because it was his word against mine, I fought him off, pushed ,shoved ,I even stood up to him I fought with him ,so he wouldn't get my clothes off he ripped them off anyway,so you see the police couldn't help me ,that doesn't mean ,Man has the right to put his hands on you , no is no, no matter what!
