Boycott Opening Weekend of new Harry Potter - HBPForum Discussion for Boycott Opening Weekend of new Harry Potter - HBP 123next ›last » Submitted by Carolyn S. on Fri, 11/21/2008 - 19:10
it is the wrong time to bring out a harry potter movie ,no one wants to sit inside in the summer to watch a movie when they can be at the beach or a party and having fun , we have patiently for this movie to come out and now you say we have to wait longer , you have a lot of nerve . maybe we should make you wait for your money from the movie. Submitted by Alia L. on Tue, 09/30/2008 - 03:55
they thought they would get more peple watching it the first day it comes out... Hp was being realesed on a friday... now its in the summer...id wouldnt want 2 skip scool for that show i would but i think something important would happen... in the summer ud mis work and summer stuff. and some of the movies have been realesd at different times in the year get used 2 it movies dont always show when u want. i wont boycott and movies by WB or the opening weekend ill see it right away l8r Submitted by Joe C. on Wed, 09/17/2008 - 13:34
I never thought of this until now. One of the good things about having it released in Nov. was that it's close to both Halloween and Christmas. In the movies, they start in the fall, have halloween, then winter & Christmas, and then end in the spring. Submitted by Ieshya M. on Wed, 09/17/2008 - 07:52
you guys are pathetic and greedy just remember with out fans you guys are crap and poor do the right thing and make fans happy Submitted by donna a. on Mon, 09/15/2008 - 22:03
I won't go the opening weekend, alot of people I know have said NO , they will not see it in the theater, going to make us wait til July, will wait til Nov. will they release the dvd for xmas sells... Ya know, wait too long, you forget or just loose interest. They need to consider that.. Obviously, money speaks much louder than anything....this is one of the most painful things and i still think its a cruel joke... We can pledge all we like, but will WB care? And what if Spiderman 4 releases on 21st July...will they then postpone it to 2010? its disgusting....and just shows the hypocrisy of all these ppl talking about 'fans'.... This is the most greedy thing a company could do to its devoted fans...without us you're over, you should have thought about it. EXACLY THE IDEA I WAS PROPOSING TO MY FRIEND! ^_^ Also as an addition we should go wacth Twilight in its opening weekend so WB can feel the pain of loosing HP as a public favorite. Submitted by Meghan W. on Thu, 09/11/2008 - 22:00
Totally as long as they dont push twilight back to December I am 4 it all the way Submitted by Martin N. on Thu, 09/11/2008 - 13:04

they moved the date because of twilight. they shouldnt have been scared, they should have thought about the real fans that would have gone to see harry potter over twilight. Submitted by Jessica M. on Tue, 11/25/2008 - 22:32

Keep signing the petitions!! Keep sending Warner Brothers howlers!!Do anything you can to put pressure on WB. They have angered millions of HP fans. I will never boycott a Harry Potter film but I will certainly boycott all other WB movies.. they are pulling this stunt because they know that they can get away with it. 50 people boycotting opening weekend will have virtually NO impact! And sorry, but i have to wait till july already. I am NOT waiting any longer. Please everyone don't go see it the first week! It will make such an impact that WB will really understand just how much their fans are worth! Better yet don't even go see it! Wait until the dvd or even just download it! WB doesn't deserve the money for this movie if they're going to treat their fans this way! But please don't just sign the petition and go see it anyway... that won't teach WB anything. In fact, if you're really hard core... ban all WB movies! I might try to do that, I know it will be hard but if they really only care about money and not the fans who support them, then I say **** WB! Please join my group... "Harry Potter 6 is now to release summer 2009! F*CK WB!" They are gonna get the same audience as they would in November, all they are doing is pissing a bunch fans off. HOW MUCH MONEY DO THEY REALLY THINK THEY R GOING TO MAKE IF HP COMES OUT ANYWHERE NEAR TRANSFROMERS 2. I WILL BOYCOTT ALL WB MOVIES UNTIL I SEE HP. IF THEY REALLY THOUGHT ABOUT IT. THEY WOULD HAVE MOVED UP THE RELASE DATE SO THE DVD COULD'VE CAME OUT IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS. WHAT A KILLING THAT WOULD'VE MADE. Okay, thats stupid!! WB didn't move the release date for that reason!! If they did, it would be pretty stupid because SOMEONE would have thought that some people wouldn't see it at all!! And whats the point of going a week later? They aren't counting on opening weekend sales to fund the entire movie, they're counting on sales in general. You want to make an impact? Don't see the movie in theaters at all. Rent it from a place when it comes out. THAT will leave an impact with WB that they will NEVER forget (though it might cost the seventh movie...). Just a thought Submitted by Joe C. on Sun, 08/31/2008 - 19:20
It's not about getting them to lose money. It's about sending a message to them...one they will listen to. If their opening weekend flops, and they make it up in the following weekends, they are still going to take notice more than just petitions for keeping the movie in Nov. (which will not happen at this point). Submitted by Emma P. on Thu, 08/28/2008 - 22:32
I'm totally sigining this thing! I am outraged about this. Hit them where it hurts! Opening weekend! I am going to boycott any other WB film as well. Submitted by J Dobbins A. on Thu, 08/28/2008 - 22:21
Why not call for a boycott of every OTHER WB film UNTIL The Half Blood Prince is released? Submitted by Roshan R. on Thu, 08/28/2008 - 01:52

Those filthy mudbloods wanna make me wait til next july just so they can rake in more money and be greedy? I won't be giving them any of my money! I'm not seeing any upcoming WB movies, and I can hold out 1 more week after HBP comes out. I wanna hit WB where it hurts and I wanna hit them HARD!!!!!!!! Submitted by Heather M. on Mon, 08/25/2008 - 20:13
I totally agree with you if there is anything else we can do to get the message across to idiots who make these decisions send it on. I will send this page to as many people as I can think of. Is there a group on face book to boycot the opening Loading People... |
