Are voters votes based on race or views?Forum Discussion for Are voters votes based on race or views? Submitted by stanley h. on Thu, 11/06/2008 - 05:06
Sonny t your ignorance runs deep with your comment ,do you get all your information off howard stearn? (joke) there are contless blacks in politics in the senate and house, national fiqures Jesse Jackson etc... what did you say?havent been involved in politics , they have been deeply involved for decades changing the system to get fair treatment etc..I will bet you are not involved at all just a howard stearn listener who molds his views based on that source? please go to college Submitted by stanley h. on Thu, 11/06/2008 - 04:56
hands down views and their explanation, prorities, values etc.. the winner expoused my concerns and pleged to work for them ,Its that simple Submitted by John S. on Tue, 10/28/2008 - 15:29
If people don't believe they are voting based on race, consider this (A MUST read!): Submitted by Pam B. on Fri, 10/31/2008 - 02:47
If you don't think it's about race, listen to Howard Stern's report when he interviewed people in the hood. They all said they would vote for OBAMA but the reporter substituted McCain's view pretending it was Obama's view when speaking to them, and they agreed with everything he said. They are truly clueless on what the candidate believe so it has to be truly racial. SO unfortunate! Submitted by Sunny T. on Fri, 10/31/2008 - 19:33
It's all about race and not experience. I heard the same interview and was not surprised. How many elections have you seen blacks get so involved in. If blacks think Obama is going to make anything better for them because he's black they are sadly mistaken. If you were that confident in Obama you wouldn't have to talk people into voting for him. Submitted by Levetta F. on Thu, 11/13/2008 - 12:08
I did not see anywhere in your post where you said they did not care about politics. You asked a question that does not make you racist. I disagree with jennifer g. Submitted by jennifer g. on Fri, 10/31/2008 - 22:54
you are a racist i am sorry you don't want people to call you that but it is true. not because of who you are voting for but because of what you just said. You said the black community has never cared about politics and you don't know that. you just made a blind and racist statement not based on fact. Submitted by Sunny T. on Sat, 11/01/2008 - 08:31
I never said the black community has never cared about politics. I do know has well as everyone else that isn't afraid to admit it that blacks have never been this involved in politics and it's because a black man is running. Most do not care what he stands for, all they see is the color of his skin. Just because I tell it like it is does not make me racist. Submitted by jennifer g. on Tue, 11/04/2008 - 01:48
You get your understanding of the world around you from howard stern? that's scary. and i still stand by what i said. Once again that statment blacks are not involved in politics. that is very racist and blind statement on your behalf. You know all this for fact? from whom did you get your info, Howard Stern show? You see a small cross section of one race and assume that every member of that race is the same. That is the definition of racism. Submitted by Sunny T. on Tue, 11/04/2008 - 07:37
Why is it when people like you don't agree with something, you start throwing the "RACIST" word around? Can't you come up with anything else. The statement I made is a true statement. The blacks want a black man in the white house no matter what he stands for. Don't you watch the news? Submitted by jennifer g. on Tue, 11/04/2008 - 16:22
I call them like i see them. Fact the record i am a white womean. You seem to be afraid of him because he is black. I said you are a racist because you made a racist statement. Nothing else Not because you are voting for McCain but because you said Black people did not care about this counrty. If that hurts your feelings I am sorry But I am sure you hurt the black bloggers feelings with your comment. And really do you think only white america has the right to vote? Submitted by Sunny T. on Tue, 11/04/2008 - 22:18
You did not hurt my feelings. I'm not afraid of Obama because he is black. I NEVER said black people did not care about this country. You have twisted everything I said into what you want to say. All I'm saying is black people will vote for Obama because he is black. Most black people will even tell you that. I have black friends and they are not afraid to tell me that. My information came from the AP news. 98% of black people are voting for Obama and only 2% for McCain. If you would go listen to the interview that was on Howard Stern you would know what we were talking about at the start of this post. You might even find it amusing. You're trying your best to put a spin on everything I say. Submitted by jennifer g. on Tue, 11/04/2008 - 23:51
I have no doubt that some are voting for him because he is black. My issue with you is your statement that "Black people are not involved in poltics" that was a very ras=cist statement. Now maybe you did not mean it to come out like it did but... And as for me causing problems and butting in, If you don't want someone to comment on what you said don't put it on the world wide web for all to see. This is what goes on here. I did not have to put words in your mouth nor twist them they were bad enough all by themself. I would never listen to Howard Stern that man is a disgrace to the human race. And Honey I don't "piss"I am a lady. Submitted by jennifer g. on Mon, 10/27/2008 - 21:45
i honest to god have spoke to a woman who said her husband was voting for obama just because he was half black. to me you can't get any more stupid. Only vote for who you believe will do the best job not race. Submitted by nicole r. on Wed, 10/29/2008 - 10:46
That would be me. But the only difference between him and many others is he is honest. The rest are lying. And he is not stupid and I don't appreciate you assuming he is. Since when has honesty made someone stupid. If some of you Obama fans would really look at him more closely you would see he isn't any different than the rest. But for some reason you guys are blind to the truth. I have never seen a candidate control so much during a campaign as this man. Why is it McCain and Palin offer so much more to the media but you have to play nice with Obama/Biden? They have done told one news network they would grant them no more interviews because of the questions directed to Biden. What are they trying to hide. The news anchor only used Biden's own words against him. I'm sorry but how can you trust a men that are not willing to be an open book about everything and how do they get the right to pick and choose what they want the American people to know. And yet he is so popular. So I guess we can expect the same when he is in office. And I for one can't be behind a man that only wants what will benefit his self. And if more people would be honest with themselves and others this country would be a better place. People may not like the truth but Honesty is always the best policy. So jennifer g. if honest makes my husband stupid then I love this stupid man. And trust me there are alot more out there voting for the same reason. And everyone has their own reasoning for voting the way they are and not everyone is going to agree with their reasons. But that is why we live in America to be able to exercise that right. Although we may not agree with others decisions on why they are voting the way they are( I don't agree with my husband) but it is his right. Submitted by jennifer g. on Wed, 10/29/2008 - 21:21
I never said your husband was stupid, I don't know him so I can't make the judgement. I did say his reasons were stupid.and they are. If i remember correctly and i do it was and is Sarah palin the press is not allowed to speak to. no need for me to ask what they are hiding i already know. it is the fact that she does not have a clue. Race should not be an issue here, it's 2008. Why can't we get away from all of that BackWater crap? Submitted by nicole r. on Wed, 10/29/2008 - 10:54
Hopefully you are talking about both. Racism just isn't white vs black. And yes racism is ignorant but until all races put aside their difference it will not go away. I have the benefit of seeing both sides. I am white and my husband is black. His family is more disrespectful towards "the white man" than my family is against black people. So until all of us stop living in the past and leave history where it belongs we will never be able to live in harmony. And noone is out to get anyone. Whatever happens in life is because of our actions now not then. Submitted by Beth m. on Sat, 10/25/2008 - 15:31
I think in this election race will be a major factor. Gender will also play a role; I was not happy with either of the candidates but will vote for Sarah and Hilary could have swayed my vote. Submitted by LaTanya V. on Tue, 10/28/2008 - 07:32
You sound silly.....You definitely don't need to be voting. Sarah isn't running for President wait until 2012 for that one. Submitted by Beth m. on Thu, 10/30/2008 - 22:37
